'Get off My Land' evaluation

Equilibrium - Nothing out of the ordinary happens, the two protagonists are enjoying a peaceful walk on what they think is a public footpath.

Disruption - A farmer approaches the young couple.

Recognition - The couple listen to the farmer aggressively dismiss and realise that this farmer is a threat to them.

Attempt to resolve - The girlfriend urges the boyfriend to walk away.

Remedy - No remedy. Ends tragically.

Closure - The couple are shot to death in cold blood by the farmer.

Character expression and movement - The use of this makes the audience fear the farmer as he angrily stomps and sneers at the couple. Also, the shocked expression of the girlfriend makes her more sympathetic.

Props - A gun is used, shocks the audience as they expect the farmer to get in a fist fight, not murder the couple in cold blood.

Setting -  We chose a rural location as it would be used to shock the audience and subvert their expectations as the setting appears to be a desolate and mundane area where chaos isn't likely to erupt.
